i say take it into the dealership...your still covered under warranty so hopefully you'll get a new tranny/clutch/flywheel out of the deal, as i've read that some of the 03 tranny's have syncro issues...

my transmission feels like it kind of grinds into 2nd but doesnt make any noise...i brought it into the dealership for them to take a look...i had them drive the car so they could feel the grind...too bad they drove it like my grandma would so it didnt grind and said nothings wrong with it guess i just gotta beat on the transmission a little bit and make it grind worse...

Since the noise is when in neutral (and if your foot is off the pedal) the clutch is completely inactive so it's not going to be that... I definitely would take it in for an inspection right away; you could be looking at something as simple as a fluid service or as much as a replacement transmission. If you have never changed the fluid it can make some nasty sounds as after all this time it has lost it's lubrication & viscosity has seriously broken down. Good luck with this; bring it in, it's under warranty... Keep us updated.

i would do a transmission fluid change...if you bring it to the dealer and it looks old and burnt up or anything they might not cover you...its hard for them to fight you if it looks brand new
