1300 dollars for a clutch WTF

Okay i got my car 2 weeks ago and yesterday i felt my clutch slipping really bad so i brought it to infiniti and prayed for the best and of course my clutch is bad and they want 1300 for a new one!!!!!!! what are my options around how much should it cost and where else can i get it done btw im in south florida and this is my only car so i need this done asap and cheap

.... The powertrain warranty is still in effect, why would you pay for it? Unless the miles are too high.

my car has 24000 miles on it i dont know what to do im thinking about taking it too aamco transmissions they want 800

Just buy an aftermarket clutch and get it installed somewhere else. Thats what I did. Paid about 800 for the clutch and labor.

its a difficult clutch but i've never felt scraping or slipping but i've only got 27k so we'll seee. i'd get an aftermarket clutch to replace oem also. btw how is the clutch not covered in the powertrain warranty????

That sucks bro. I would say take it back to them. Lemon Law. Bitch enough to them and tell them you brought this car two weeks ago. They should replace under warranty. In most states you do have a 90 Day warranty if there isnt one still in effect on the car.

just throw a JWT clutch and flywheel in there, something like 750 for parts and i got quoted 355 for labor by a local g35/350z shop

get stage 2 clutch!!!
