HELP.. about my clutch
HELP.. about my clutch
I'm concernd about my g35 coupe and its clutch. I need to know the signs of a worned out clutch and need to know how to prevent it from wearing out even more. I use to drive a manual integra and I noticed when I my clutch is getting worned out. Signs of my integra and G35 clutch going out were:
-Smelly burnt rubber
-Everytime I switch gears it feel real soft like butter. When I first got my G35 it is real stift, now soft.
-After I shifted. I have it on a gear and I step on the gas it feels like it over revs 2-3 RPM then usual.
-When I step on the gas it revs high 2-3 RPM higher, then it drops down fast.
Any advice on this would be helpful. thanks

do this test (which i learned from a few other people on here in the past):
start the car moving slowly... put it into second gear but only be moving 5-10 mph and then shift straight into 5th gear, let the clutch out quickly and step on the accelerator..... if the tachometer goes wild, your clutch is slipping.... if it just lugs the engine and makes the car kinda jumpy feeling, then your clutch is grabbing nicely
