the transmission can't really slip... if you're hitting the gas and the revs fly up before you start moving your clutch is going bad

if it's the clutch, the dealer may or may not cover it under warranty, since it is a wear item... but if they're cool, they'll install a new one for you free of charge

well... maybe you could call another infiniti dealership and ask them straight up if they'll replace the clutch under warranty, if so, call your dealership, and hopefully you get the same response... if they say no then you'll have to make up some story for your dealership to try and swindle a free one.

good luck

I JUST REMEMBERED SOMETHING!! about 1-2 months ago I had a sticky clutch problem! the clutch would stick and the pedal wouldnt come up but 1/3 of the way...it definitely roasted the clutch until i took it in the next day...

they said they replaced some parts and it was fixed under warranty....what can i say to relate it??

so maybe it is related? is it better to act stupid and not know only the symptoms or is it better to act like you know what you are talking about so they dealer doesnt try to pull a fast one?

Take it in- the worst they can say is no. They are there to make you happy- just be polite and persistent.

well i guess the reason im asking is i had that trim piece come off on the passenger side(the one that matches the car color), it must have tangled on the highway and ripped off somehow...

the dealer wouldnt replace it. and then he switched topics...I guess i just am not sure of the whole being persistent part.
