Auto transmission fluid change

I was curious if anyone has used a Mityvac 07400 (or similar device) fluid evacuator to drain their auto transmission (through the dipstick tube) during a trans service. I've used it for engine oil changes in the past, but never tried it w/trans.

I have a Mityvac and considered using it for the fluid change, but it was easier to access the drain plug on the bottom of the trans.
