I searched around is it the chain belt? heat shield is loose? or needs more oil? i hear this noise like rocks in a can rattle when i give it gas in 1st through 3rd gear? does anyone else have this weird phenomenon and hopefully it is isnt detrimental to the car. the car is 06 6mt coupe. thanks again for any input.

I have the same 06 6MT COUPE and had the same problem as you. I checked my oil level and was almost bone dry. Read through the forum and check it out this car has an "oil consumption" issue with this particular motor check it out....

thanks. i check my oil like every other week. add a quart or half of some if its low. so the noise is from the lack of oil ? or could it be that chain belt people were talking about? I dont think its the clutch.

All the 6mt models do it.. it's a transmission characteristic.
