I don't know if this will work try resetting the ECU. Disconnect the battery for a few hrs then try for some reason your car is in fail safe mode.

Thanks for reply

no codes? I have a check engine light... I dont have a way to check codes til i get it to a dealer tomorrow.. Check engine is surely just the car saying something isnt right.. But the intermittent AT light flashes after the car has gone into limp and i have turned the ignition off.. next time on the at flashes.. after on and off a couple of times.. the AT turns off and Check eng stays on..

when i first got my g my tranny light came on just going down interstate with cruise set bout 80mph, bout 10sec later my car just shut off, while still rolling and figuring out what the hell.... i put it in N(got a 5AT), turn the key and it started like nothing happened... took to dealership they couldnt figure it out... bot 3 weeks later it did it again when i was coming to a stop sign... car shut off and a rolled throguh jumped a ditch and messed up alot of ****... dealership then fixed my tranny for me along with everything else i broke

Red face

thanks for replies all.. I disconnected the battery for a couple hours. Caught up on some of The Shield Eps and then went to it. First off I siphoned some of the brake fluid out (thought maybe that was causing the ECU to give me the faults) then took it for a ride. I come back here to tell you.. All is good for now. Took it through some different tests and everything is as it should be (with the exception of a hard shift from 2-3rd..??) I did some stop and go..
Some 0-110. All seems to be working properly.

Let me know if anyone else has had any probs like this, in case I should be more worried.

Thank you all for your quick replies.. Great community here. Will update soon on the, hopefully not, ongoing G35 limp .

Your answer should be in the code that is behind the SES light. Tell us what the code is and we'll try to tell you how to fix it. The next time you get the code cleared, get them to tell you what it was.
