High clutch engagement

Could be your clutch is wearing out. As the disk wears, the friction point gets higher. Just got mine replaced. Clutch engages much closer to the floor now. It's taking me some time to get used to it. Your mileage is not a good indicator of clutch wear. Some people get 100K+, I got 32K on my 1st and 16K on my 2nd, and I don't drive like a maniac, race, ride the clutch or anything naughty. Have your clutch wear checked. If it's premature, don't wait till it slips. Order a different clutch and find a repair shop to install it. An Infiniti dealer will charge you $2400, more or less, to replace everything. Check your clutch fluid level too.
