What exactly do you think a conversion is if it doesn't involve swapping out the tranny? Do you imagine some kind of bolt-on mod that changes your auto into a manual? Just wondering.

Like people have said, you're better off just trading the car in for a 6MT.

I worded it wrong sorry. I just wanted to see what I would be up against if I wanted to attempt it. But thanks I guess I will just stay away from the idea for now...

Unless you can do all the labor yourself you're looking at least $8,000. Build your auto and go FI, thats what you can do with just a little more.

yeah I didn't know the extent on how costly it would be. Thanks for all the input looks like I might have to just leave her be

Wish it was MT though.

i have a friend who did a swap for his rx-7 all by himself over the course of 2 weeks while in school. you have to have to do a lot of reading and research but it can be done. but then again with a car like a g35 it is much easier to just sell your car and buy a 6mt one and you would probably spend less money than a swap even if you did the work yourself

The parts are in the forsale section.

Not sure if the sedan is the same cluster but the guy has that too. Labor was quoted as 1500 at a local shop.

Don't forget the whole center console is different since MT's have a real handbrake
so you'd have to find a way to convert that too
