Help with flywheel?
Im going to change the clutch but i am wondering if i can use a aftermarket flywheel on a OEM clutch?? ?? I bought a fidanza aluminum flywheel, will it chatter? I have 2004 G35 Coupe MT..
flywheel doesn't make clutch chatter, uneven flywheel surface, improper break-in clutch or unsprung hub clutch disc chatter.
Since you are changing your clutch anyway, take advantage of the situation and put in some lighter flywheel. You'll be fine, good luck

I can't help but wonder if you aren't asking about clatter, a.k.a. gear noise. If you are referring to the rattle that generally occurs at idle with the clutch pedal released and during deceleration then yes, use of a lighten non-dual-mass flywheel can cause this.
Chatter on the otherhand, which comes as a result several factors (including the use of a pressure-plate with increase clamp load and use of a disc with a higher friction coeffecient) typically occurs during the break-in period of use. This will generally reduce with mileage, though some disc types, specifically pucked type discs, are more prone to chatter through their entire life.
I hope this info helps. Let me know if you have any further questions.

Info...
A Flywheel should have no impact on pedal feel. A reduction in pedal effort could be related to either the clutch kit used (our kits for instance will have less effort than many aftermarket assemblies) or the hydraulics. If the pedal is spongy and inconsistent then you need to bleed the hydraulics as this can be evidence of air in the system. I hope this helps
If you pump the pedal do you notice any increase in effort? This to would point to hydraulic issues. If not, then it may just be that your stock assembly has extremely light effort. I know that my OE clutch was very easy to actuate...either way let me know if you have any further questions!
