I posted this in the general tech, but figured it can't hurt here, anyway..... is the clutch slave cylinder on an 04 6spd external or internal ? and if its external i could this bea DIY???

yea its got that cover thing on it then 2 bolts holding it on i think. def a diy

 

im almost positive they started to make them internal 06+. i have a 03 and i just replaced my clutch master cylinder, clutch slave cylinder, clutch line, clutch/flywheel/pressure plate/pilot bearing, throwout bearing, pivot ball, header back exhaust all in 3 weekends of about....9 hours average a weekend. doing so i had to replace my new amsoil tranny fluid i put in there earlier with more of that and dropped the old corroded exhaust and the driveshaft.bleed the hyd lines and sh**.if i can do all that DIY then you can too....................btw................im a diesel/hydraulic mechanic in the marine corps.lol.but go to autopartswarehouse.com for sh** like slave/master cylinder. let me know if you have any more questions.
