Sure will, the car has been in the shop for the past week getting some work done, one of them is to check this black liquid.

I have had this for a while. kinda forgot about it. I was told by someone I trust that nissan/infiniti uses liquid filled mounts and that these mounts can bust and leak.

Mounts for what though? OP says its a hydraulic bushing. I need to call Infiniti and talk to the mechanics.

Car is taking longer to finish but will hopefully be done by tuesday... The wait is killing me. I haven't driven the car for over two weeks now. As soon as I get it i'll let you know what it is. I'm also going to put on an Quaife next month, so he'll open up the pumpkin and see if anything got busted in there.

Awesome. hopefully you find out what it is. I know that there is a bushing back there. They make a solid bushing for racing but its supposed to put a lot of NVH that most people dont like. Maybe this stock one is the hydraulic bushing like you were talking about.

So I got the answer to this conundrum. It is the rear differential bushing melting. He said it's not too bad, but we should replace them else we are going to hear some clanking.

I think I've begun to hear some clanking. Similar to the clanking I had with the endlinks. haha

It only happens every now and again.

Where is the bushing located?

It's black and at the front of the differential, there are two of them one on each side. You can't miss it since it is where the pumpkin gets held on. I just looked at mine today and it is very worn and looks like i'll need a replacement.
