I receive the Stillen AT Valve Body upgrade, I have a 04 G35C. The Valve Body on my car looks different , does anyone know if the 03 & 04 uses the same tranny? Or is it possible I have a 350z tranny? Accordiing to the instruction sheet that I receive ..it sounds like I have a 350Z tranny because of the description of the parts and location of certain electrical components. I was planning to call Stillen up to see if they actually work on an 04 coupe. Any inputs on this anyone?

 

That's strange, it should be the same transmission, unless there's something we don't know. Where do you live? I would even consider driving to Stillen if you're in Socal to sort things out. Let us know how you like it, I'm considering that mod myself for the future.

Right now for all you 5AT out there....put it in Drive ...notice how the shift are from 1-2 ,2-3...it feels weak the valve body upgrade will improve /firm up your shift.Instead of the slight lag it give on the stock tranny it'll be much quicker.Also in manumatic mode...the shift will be more positive.This is the info I got from the people at Stillen.

From what I remember, they did their testing on an 03 G35C (supercharged). I am afrraid that Stillen is the only one that can help you, call them up.

Also, where are you located? I would really love to see the car and witness the mod for myself, if you'd be so kind....

Well i am about 98% sure that Stillen is having SOMEONE do this for them, at a markup of course. There are few shops that will do this , even here in L.A., just afraid to be the "first" one again

 

Does every thing you need come with upgrade and then you have to do the install, or have it installed ? Whats the price of the upgrade ?

the thing is 700 bucks, identical to L10's price. Labor on it shouldn't be more than 2-3 hours... It does come with the hwole VB (built) replacement that you just plug in, just add labor

 

tluv (terry) just gone his valve body done down here in SoCal. I think he got it done by stillen, but am not sure 100%. He's gonna be at the 8/7 meet, so we can all check it out then.

This is an official STILLEN post regarding our new ‘Valve Body upgrade’. This is to address the postings that suggest that we do not produce our own ‘Valve Body upgrade’. Our STILLEN Valve body is our own product. STILLEN is NOT working with Level 10 to produce our valve body upgrade. In fact the only time we sold a Level 10 product was back in 1999.

This STILLEN upgrade is available for the automatic transmission in the 350Z, and G35 coupe and sedan. This unit will increase the power handling ability of the transmission as well as firm up the shifts and improve performance. Our extensive modifications include upgrading springs, revalving and machining the stock unit. The transmission will also shift faster in “manual mode”. The overall improvement makes a huge difference.

Currently there is a national shortage on cores, so we are asking that your valve body be sent to us for the upgrade. With proper notice, once your valve body is in our hands it is roughly a 3-day turnaround. If you bring your vehicle to us, we will most likely complete it the same day.

I met some guy on my350z.com and we have plans on taking this SC to its limits(reliable limits,I do have a daily driver).I've been talking to him for a bit and am anxious to meet up with him tonight.we're going to see how much boost I really have with his boost guage.
