Royal Purple Transmission Fluid
I recently changed my tranmission fluid on a 6MT and used the RP MaxGear 75W-90. Anyone else have any bad experiences with it? I feel like the 1-2 shift is especially notchy now, and downshifting into 2nd is also difficult.
Could this also be because of overfilling? I probably used 3 3/4 quarts in filling it.. I kind of forgot to take into account that, because I had my car on ramps and not lifting I may have put in slightly too much fluid.
Also, I know that most people will probably say use a GL-4 only fluid like Amsoil, but I had consulted with RP beforehand and they confirmed it is fine for the vehicle (and had had good experiences with other cars and RP). Maybe I'll just swap in some Amsoil ni this or next weekend and compare.

Interesting. Yeah I thought the same thing when I did my diff. If the cars not level then the fluid is off in some capacity.
AFAIK Royal Purple is fine, but most of the looking I've done says go with amsoil.
AFAIK overfilling in the amount you're talking(a few oz.) shouldn't cause any differences in shifting.
