Hi,

I have strange issue with shifting-very hard to go into gear out of neutral(no matter hot or cold)-pretty much any gear. But as soon as I get going all shifts are smooth-up/down-any gear. When I stop and put lever in 1st without releasing the clutch, it goes in effortlesly. If I release clutch pedal and then press it again, then it will not go!
There's no grinding noise, shifter just doesn't go and I do not force it.
Any ideas? Something wrong with hydraulics? There're no leaks and clutch system was bled with no effect.

 

reviving bump!, This started happening to me also, about a couple days ago, all of a sudden, hot or cold weather, engine warm or cold.

It shifts effortlessly when rolling, even as low as 1mph. From a dead stop, it's difficult to shift into any gear, even reverse.

Have changed the clutch fluid, transmission fluid and rear differential fluid before and ran perfectly fine for years. I have just changed the transmission fluid and clutch fluid just now, but still experiencing the problem. I may try changing the rear differential fluid also but I'm thinking it may not be the problem. Anyone know?

 

I have the same problem w/ 1st and 2nd from neutral. Just had my clutch kit replaced about 150 mi. ago. The problem only occurs when cold, after I stop at a couple of lights or so it shifts fine.
Just bought the car about 3 weeks ago and getting worried!! Any help out there? thanks in advance!
