I'd like to have my mind made up on this fluid choice before winter. I remember reading about someone who switched back from Redline to the OEM, saying it just clunked into 2nd from 1st everytime. What's the real difference in using 75W90 vs the prescribed 75W85 (75W80+75W90 mix)?

I, too, would like more info from anyone who has switched to Redline MT oil, from Nissan's stock oil. Even better if you've switched back from one to the other.

I've just started to experience the hard synchro grind during a hard, high RPM shift from 1st to 2nd (10K miles now), and in many previous cars, I've experienced a night and day difference with the Redline 6MT - the Redline just cured those "slow" synchros right up on those cars.
