Is it standard procedure to replace the slave?
you might have to elaborate a little better for me to understand your problem. what fitting is leaking? are you trying to say when you install the clutch line to the slave cylinder, the bolt that uses the washers (i think your describing) to connect the two wont tighten to the slave cylinder? So your saying the slave cylinder is stripped out? in that case replace it.

Thanks Winterdevilg35. Yes I am referring the the fitting that connects the hydraulic line to the slave. I hadn't installed the sealing washers (copper) on the fitting and that's what was causing it to leak. What finally worked to get my clutch line bled was a video I saw from a link in one of these threads. In the video the guy opening and closing the bleeder screw would open it then almost immediately close it. What I was doing was opening it then waiting for the fluid to stop running, so what I think was happening was air was getting sucked back into the slave so I was just spinning my wheels (pun intended). My car runs great now and the only issue I have is the chatter and low engagement point. Other than that it's like driving a new car again! Thank you for your reply.

Yeah thats a problem if you don't close it right after the air excapes and before the clutch pedal goes all the way down. There's nothing you can do for the chatter because of the flywheel and as far as the low engagement point theres a thread on here where you can adjust the nut on the clutch master cylinder where the pedal connects to it to lower the pedal down some so that there is less pedal throw when shifting.

My engagement point is low but I'm already used to it so I don't think I will be making any pedal adjustments, further up this thread there is mention on how to learn to do that though. Did you replace the flywheel also? I have chatter but no real vibration to speak of and my shifting is getting smoother everyday. I swapped out my flywheel though and got an Exedy OEM clutch. I believe Stage 1 is a step up from the oem which is higher performance. That may be the issue.

when you say your pedal is very low are you referring to low engagement point or the pedal is physically lower=(which wouldn't make any sense)? Well when the car starts to go when you put it in gear and you slowly roll off at a very low RPM then it's obviously going to make some noise. I'm confused by your question though. The initial lift off at low RPM is going to make noise depending on how you are driving.
If the engagement is actually low then thats signs of clutch wear. You could think it's low but it might actually be normal because we have a long pedal throw on our cars from the setup. You can adjust the distance of the pedal by moving the nut on the clutch master cylinder. But beware how far you move it.
