Rear Subframe Fluid Leak
Mine also went bad.
I got the set from SPL and so far I only replaced the rear bushing. I still need to install the front bushings.
Let me just say that it was a PIA to get the old bushing out. The person who installed it had helluva time hammering away. Eventually came out.
It is also highly recommended to replace the sub frame bushings also.

^ You coupe guys have no idea how hard it is for a sedan, rpm06g35 and Greengoblin know all too well, lol

Does anyone know if the bushings for the G are the same as the FX35? My girlfriend's FX is leaking and the dealer quoted the same thing. I'd like to just buy these, I'm assuming the FX and G are the same.
Thats a wacky question. I think you are kinda screwed there bud. Reason being is that these bushings arent replaced at the dealer (the swap the whole rear subframe). So the only way i would be able to tell is to get the bushing out and get some really good measurements. Mike
Yeah, I was hoping someone maybe just knew. Replacing the bushings isn't a problem, I'd just like to buy the right ones off the bat. Maybe someone can chime in that knows.
I've got this problem now on my 03.5 sedan. I think it may spit out a bit of fluid every once in awhile from inspecting the area under my car. This last time it did it while the car was in my garage, otherwise I'd have never known about it. Just spit out several drops on the floor.
So that leads me to the question of what impact this problem has if left alone. I don't notice anything with the problem right now (and yeah, the age of all my parts probably has something to do with that) but can this develop into anything significant if ignored?
Thanks.

The rear end is held up there stable enough. However your wheelhop will get worse and eventually the front bushings will go bad. I have yet to see all 3 bushings fail. I guess its just the drivers style of driving. If you drive aggresive the rear end will feel loose. If there is anyone near you with a locked up (all solid bushings) rear end ask them to take you for a ride or drive the car. You can for sure feel the difference. Talk soon mike
Sorry to bump from the dead, but does anyone have or can link to experience with these new whiteline and energy suspension bushings? I'm trying to gather info on remove & replace w/o having to take the subframe apart and taking it to a shop.
We have a couple cars around the shop with Energy Diff bushings, they seem like a great upgrade, much more subtle than my car with solid bushings but still provide a firm launch.

When install in the bushings to the differential are you supposed to but anything in between the fame and the bushing like the rubber spacers or the metal discs from the oem bushings? or do the aftermarket bushings sit right against the frame?
