2006 6MT tranny for my project or no?

So... basically there is a 2006 6MT with 50k or so on it for $400 locally.

Not knowing much about this particular transmission, would you guys even recommend this for my project, 92 SC400 twin hx35, looking for around 500-600whp to run road racing?

My original goal was to use a T56, but I was throwing ideas around with my buddy.

I know the syncro issues on the older 6MT's but I figure I would ask.

Matt

Syncro issues were fixed on the CD009 transmission which should have been standard on the 2006 6MT I believe, but you should be able to get the part number off of the transmission.

Other than that I think it's a pretty good transmission. As with anything you'll probably want to rebuild it for true race purposes.

Thanks for the reply.

Any idea on how much TQ these things are known for holding?

Ill be looking around 500wtq or so... and it will hit pretty hard.

Not sure how much torque they're going to hold. I think some people over in the FI section are still running the stock transmission and pushing 500-600wtq though.
