Diff Swap question for you gurus

I would like to start off and tell you im not so knowledgeable in this department. So i have a 06 5at coupe with an open diff. I have no idea what the the ratio is. I want to swap it out with with a another diff that is a direct swap, I want to basically get a quicker takeoff and would like a LSD or VLSD. Whats the Diff between the LSD and VLSD. What ratio is recomended?

I just did the same swap..I "had" an open diff with a 3.3fd on my 06' coupe..I now have a 3.7fd with a vlsd..Love the acceleration increase in every gear! you can find a manual pumpkin for sale on this forum and you can get the 3.7 ring and pinion from Z1performance..talk to Adam he'll hook you up.
