FS: Lightly Used ACT Streetlite Flywheel
Lightly Used ACT Streetlite Flywheel
I used this flywheel on my 6 psi TT G35 for about 1,000 miles. It was brand new when installed, and I was using a ClutchMasters FX300 kevlar clutch. Kevlar is very non-abrasive friction surface and because it was only used 1,000 miles there should be absolutely no need to resurface the flywheel (if you run your fingernail radially on the surface you can easily feel the original machining ridges). There are some discolored spots on the flywheel but I am not sure why - I never did any drag launches or really aggressive driving and I don't slip the clutch. There are no heat cracks or anything of that sort and it is not warped, it always had a nice smooth engagement.

Are you referring to the "burn marks" on the friction surface? They are caused by the heat generated by the pressure plate friction. I am not sure why they are only in certain spots. Like I said, there are no cracks and the surface is flat. I never slipped the clutch hard and I only had it on the car for ~1,000 miles. It was working perfectly when I removed it. It could have something to do with the kevlar clutch I was using.
