Differential inspection

Hi.

I have the vehicle in the signature and have 94,000 miles on it.

The differential is going to be inspected soon.
Should I change the fluid in there or have it topped up?

If I need to get it changed what fluid should I get?

Is this the same a the matic-J fluid used in the tranny?

Sorry I'm new here so please forgive my ignorance.
