Trans kit or reprogram?

I have gone FI and went with the transgo kit before the install.
Not all that difficult but messy.
Shifted solid but messed up the down shift rev match as it is more abrupt and is just to hard going down to 1st.

With that said I am using the UP-Rev software to tune the VQ35 and have found a excellent group of guys at R/T Tuning especially Vince (He's the man) as well as getting the great tune he has able to reprogram the tranny's shifting.

I found the even with the trans-go kit their was still a lag from shift input to engagement approx 600 rpm.

Vince firmed up the shift and even programed in one setting that is a neck snapper, Great for the strip but too hard for normal driving.

If you are looking to get a few more HPs. along with a firmer shift with out getting dirty look into this.

alot of tuning software works with the transmission as well, also most tuners will tune the tranny at the set rate of tuning the engine

Didn't know that the UPREV software accessed the trans shift points at all. Interesting... Good to know for those of you out there who can use the OSIRIS

I think this is referring to the torque management option mentioned on the Z forum. Doesn't access the TCU directly but affects the signals TO the TCU that ultimately affects the shift firmness. (my guess)
