rear wheel spinning when clutch disengaged.

Today, i had to check for exhaust leak so i jacked up all four corners on the jack stands.
I started up the engine and the rear wheels started spinning, not craazy fast but still fast enough to hurt you. If i press in the clutch, they don't spin no moaar. Is this normal?
I have stock clutch , ss clutch line and new clutch fluid, and i adjusted the clutch pedal so that it sits lower but not much. Could this adjustment cause it?

Yes, I've noticed that before. People here have said it's normal, that the clutch is always "rubbing" I guess you could say, and when the wheels are on the ground it's never enough to really keep the car moving.

Wouldn't this be dangerous when working on the car on the stand in a small garage? LOL

If you have it properly on jack stands and the front wheels blocked I don't see why it would be dangerous. Actually driving the car on the road would be more dangerous. Hahaha

When the clutch is engaged the input shaft (coming from the engine), the layshaft, and all of the gears are rotating at the same speed as the engine. The output shaft (going to the diff) is not mechanically engaged when the shifter is in neutral, but there is still enough friction to rotate it a bit. If you don't want the wheels to rotate, apply the parking brake.

I've heard that is mostly from oil drag in the tranny. Ebrake works
