clutch problem

anyone have the problem where your driving and you change gears and push in the clutch and it just gets stuck, it won't come back out it just stays stuck the the floor and you can't get it into gear then if you pull the clutch up with your hand it just pops right back but if you push it again it drops right to the floor like theres no tension or spring or anything. Anyone have any idea what the problem could be?

bump.... SOMEONE i hope has an answer to this problem... cause i've been having this same problem for about a month or so... and it's happening a lot... the dealer recommended i get a new clutch (obviously) but i am not experiencing any slippage...

my pedal still engages properly, but when i take my foot off, it releases only 1 inch or so... so its just enough to drive, but its become a pain to have to pull the clutch back out with my foot constantly.

i did the clutch pedal engagement mod around the same time... but its not adjusted nearly that close...

for me it was that some kind of pin broke and they had to replace my clutch and whole hydrolic system, there were trying to make me pay for it but I complianed a lot and they finaly took care of it under warranty. not only that but the part was on backorder and had to drive loaner for a month wich makes me belive it was a problem with more then just me.

There could be a problem with the hydraulic system (which is what it sounds like to me). Or it could definately bethe slave cylinder. If you've ever tried to push in a clutch with a broken hydraulic system it acts in much the same manner accept for not popping back out when released.

Is there still tension against the pedal when you push it in or does it fall straight to the floor board?
