Bad clutch or tranny?

Hey guys I have a 04 350z and I'm noticing that when I hit the gas taking off/ and switching gear it tend to rev up but lag on taking off and everytime I switch gear even after that clutch grab? I was wondering if you guys kno what this problem is so I can save myself some
Time and money going to a mechanic to check it out. Any information would help thanks.

well im no expert but if the car is already in gear and no grinding noise is heard and if the motor revs with hardly any change in acceleration ,then i would say the clutch is slipping

Yup, it's the clutch. The clutch needs to be replaced.

Hopefully you're not THAT clueless, it has to be the clutch. Give this a try, keep your car at lets say 5k, and gun it. If your car just revs and goes no where. It is time for a new clutch sir.
