ATF color with 70k
ATF color with 70k
Hello,
I am a happy newbie G35x 06 owner
bought the beauty 2 months ago. I'd like to make sure I am on the safe side regarding the transmission.
What color should the ATF have 70k after the last change? Mine has got a light reddish color, does that sound realistic to you guys with 70k and 3 years on it?
Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks
Context: drove to nearest Infiniti dealership to determine service history in details. I am the 3rd owner. The first owner serviced it requlary for 3 years. The second owner did not, or at least not with Infiniti. The first owner did an ATF servicing with 30k on the odometer. Car now has 100k and ATF looks "too good" as far as I can tell. I am concerned the second owner may have serviced it with non-factory ATF. If that's the case I'd rather flush and replace the entire content with Nissan ATF, which I understand may not be advisable under different circumstances. I just want to make sure my car has the right ATF.

its supposed to be a clear bright-ish red color. if you are unsure about the fluid or type....just change it out. but there is no way to tell what "kind" of fluid is in the car.
