Rear diff fluid and amount?

Owners manual doesn't specify amount...

Just curious how much fluid you put into your rear diff when you did a drain&fill?

also, did you use the recommended type from your owners manual? Mine is automatic and it states to use API GL-5, viscosity SAE 80W-90*5.

just drain and fill until fluid starts coming out of the fill plug..make sure u loosen the fill plug before you drain to make sure you can refill..

Took about a bottle and a half-ish.

The advice above is sound - The whole process is very easy.

Service manual states 3 US pints, which is equal to 1.5 quarts or 1.4 liters. Like mkvl127 said above, just fill until it starts coming out the fill hole.

I used a little under 2 quarts. When it was about done dripping out the old stuff I shot a little of the new in there and let it drain out too. Then filled until it ran out the top and had a little left over.
