Basically when i move the shifter over to tiptronic it wont engage it still says D. This has happened a few times but now it seems to happen more often, i took apart the center console to check if something was loose but didnt see anything out of he norm i hope its a simple fix

This just happened to me for the first time yesterday. Just kept saying D when I switched it tiptronic. I just turned the car off and on and it was back to normal. Hopefully it doesn't happen again. Wonder what it could be.

Some times i would turn the car on/off and it would still say D, but i was reading through the FSM and it could be the tiptronic switch but i never got a chance to finishing reading and actually take apart the car to check. But ill keep you posted

The problem is still persistent and it seems to have actually gotten worst, it happens more then it use to. Does anyone have access to a PDF or a very detailed picture of the transmission linkage system. Or does anyone know the exact problem and how to fix it.

Never experienced this before but my guess would be the switch. I would just take it to a stealership, doesn't sound like it would be too expensive if it is just the switch.
