2004 5AT Coupe hesitation off the line
2004 5AT Coupe hesitation off the line
If I punch the car from a dead stop, my 5AT Coupe will jump for about a split second, then its like I pulled my foot off the accelerator and the car slows down or hesitates for about a split second then the car wakes up and goes like a bat out of hell all the way through the gears............I talked with a friend and he suggested a fuel pump upgrade, He thinks when I depress the accelerator all the way, the injectors open but the fuel pump doesnt respond fast enough and the engine starves for fuel until the fuel pump can catch up.....anyone else have this problem and have an opinion?

Yeah, definitely sounds like you left the VDC on.

Definitely turn off the VDC if you are looking to move out fast. If the VDC is on and the computer senses the slightest slippage under hard acceleration it will cut the power.
