I have an 04 G35C 5AT. I got in a wreck at about 10 mph and my transmission locked up in manumatic mode. Once the car was shut off, I couldn't restart it.

tl:dr: shiftplate disconnected from shifter.

I fixed it but now manumatic and Automatic are confused. please see video below for a clear description of the behavior

what did the dealer say and the TCM for our yr G is inside the tranny I think don't quote me on that.

If it is the TCM might of gotten damaged from the accident the best bet is to have infiniti put a consult II on it.

Does your AT light flash a couple of times after you start it?

 

That would be good news. I got a new valve body and TCM in march because of water damage. It should be warrantied.

I do not have an AT light flash.

I have also noticed that occasionally when in the drive position, with the gear indicator displaying a 1, it begins to climb to 2, 3, 4 but not 5. It does this while at a standstill. I move it to manumatic and the indicator displays D. Once I begin moving, the car accelerates as if it is in the gear that it last displayed. around 10 mph, it downshifts to 1 or 2. I

By the way. Switch away from nationwide. They have been highly unethical in their treatment of me.
