2004 Infiniti G35 Kicks around 40 mph

If there were 100 shifts in a trip I've noticed that 2 or 3 times when cruising and when its downshifting I feel the car jerk...I just bought it 2 months ago and Ive heard they have a weak tranny...I've also heard resetting the ECU usually fixes most transmission issues.

It seems to shift perfectly all other times just 2 or 3 times when Im driving on the highway around 40 mph...do you guys think the tranny might be going? Has anyone had the same issue?

Coming from all Hondas from back in the days, it took me awhile to accept that the erk and jerk is normal.

And just when I thought that my shifting is better and smoother with the G, a friend of mine let me drive his civic si to the store...holy shh**zz it was so smooth.

..but yeah, it's normal IMO, don't mind the future noises that you'll hear either.

I don't mean to hijack the post but what do you mean by "future noises"? I just recently got my 04 coupe too. Thanks
