Nismo GT-Titanium Shift ****

So I just "sort-of" installed the GT titanium shift **** on the car and I really dont know what to do about the shift boot . I know somone here said that they used a bathroom toilet washer which did the job perfectly but since the site changed over I am unable to see the picture of their console.

What has everyone with this shift **** done with the shift boot? How did you get the shift boot to "mate-up" to the shift ****? And whoever used the bathroom toilet washer for it which washer was it?

It's a toilet washer that I bought from Home Depot. I threw the packaging away. It looks like this:

Looks nice ^^^. what if you have the willow interior though? super glue worked ok for me. just a little to hold it in place.

it is called a "ball **** washer" haha (damn immature kids) and can be found in the plumbing section of your Home Depot for under $3.00.

comes packaged. you'll see it when you go there.

for installation, one trick is to put it above the shift boot like you see in the pic.

another trick which i will try is to put it underneath the shift boot. this will work for those with a willow interior.

i also have a gt-****. with the washer above the boot, you'll have a slight gap. i used a small tie wrap underneath the boot to keep it snug with the shift ****.

but i believe the best route is to have it underneath. try that first and see if it works for you.

I have the willow interior and i tucked the boot under the ****.

i lifted the boot up and took the plastic round piece underneath the boot off. i then pulled the boot upand zip tied it to the new bolt thingy that came with the new ****. i then put the new **** over it and tightened the allen screw down. here is the end result.

Thumbs up

Thanks for the help guys. Heres some really crappy camera phone pictures (sorry no digital camera). I went with the toilet washer thing and used double sided carpet tape to stick it to the shift boot. It works but I dunno if i really like it like that so i think i may fix it like JaTe has his cuz I think its more factory-like i dunno yet . Thanks a lot to everyone that helped me

I know some of you guys own it, but it looks soooo funny.

Like a tiny ***** in the middle of a grey forest.

Does it make the car go faster?
I was thinking about putting a turbo sticker on my car, like 10-15 hp gains.

are u just regretting that u got a 5AT?

and i think supercharger sticker on your car will give u more than what a turbo sticker would put out.
