New G35 Jerking..

Alright well ive done my research but i really dont feel like what ive found is right.. My 6MT G35 has 70k on it i havent drove MT in about 2 years but ive had the car for 2 weeks so i figured id be back into things . Every time i freaking shift the damn car jerks back unless im either speeding or god damn granny shifting people say its a problem with how infiniti set up the pedal and theres a work around to make shifts smoother ?

Its really annoying at times!! The only time it doesnt do it is if im agian granny shifting or speeding OR im sitting there paying attention to my clutch trying to not get it to jerk .

Does it in first , Second and Third , And also is it normal for jerk back a little when you let go of the gas ? Or press it alittle bit while moving for that matter ..? One other thing the shifter moves a little bit when im not pressing the gas or clutch and im just coasting.

2 years ago before the G i had a 500 FWHP Maxima and i could drive MT like a beast but now i just feel retarded !! HELP ME

Thumbs up

Yes, that's completely normal when it's cold. Especially if its still got the stock Nissan fluid in the trans. I drive my G year round here in Canada so on cold mornings things are pretty stiff and need to go slow on all gears for the first few blocks when the car has sat in 15-20*F temps all night.

I changed the fluid out last year for a 50/50 Mix of Redline MTL and MT90 which helped a lot. It's now buttery smooth when hot in the summer and much smoother shifting in the cold then the Nissan stuff. I still can't downshift into 1st when its dead cold but once warmed up it'll slide right in at anything under about 10-15mph if you want it to.

Like SamZG35 though I usually stay in 2nd unless I come to a complete stop or need to haul but from a slight roll like when turning left in traffic.
