My clutch went out I just got my g in November I'm pissed its at 74k miles so I'm sure it was the stock clutch . It all of the sudden started slipping real bad I couldent get to 60mph on the highway , I tried to get it to catch by reving it high to 6k and boom I heard the clutch fall apart and the pedal went to the floor.

Long story short I'm low on funds and want the best clutch for my buck around 200$ is the 100$ exedy kit any good?

Cheap and quality is a stock replacement, I would not trust anything cheaper.

Stock Exedy Repacement (OE)

Sounds like you're going to need more than just the actual clutch. You shouldn't skimp on important parts of your car. It's going to be taken apart anyways so you might as well do it the right way.

Well i'm going through the same thing and it seems our flywheels cannot be resurfaced except by very few people with some crazy machine. So all the techs i work with are telling me i'll most likely be needing to buy a flywheel as well, as it is stupid to replace a whole clutch system without the flywheel as well.

The main reason they are not supposed to be resurfaced is It is 2 pieces and very hard to cut "true" as the plates will move on each other as it is being cut and makes it very hard to make perfectly level, true and flat again. This can cause bad balance issues.

Do you have pics of your OEM flywheel? Maybe we'll help tell you whether you really need a new one

If you're looking for just the clutch disk then call Tony at OC Infiniti, I got mine from him for less than $100 last yr

If you find that you do need a new flywheel then please get an OEM one, I've had both OEM and after market and I couldnt stand the chatter sounds that come from lightweight flywheels. Sure the after market flywheels are much lighter, but that's because they've dont have the dual mass dampening system of the OEM flywheel resulting in a diesel truck sound .

Totally depends on what flywheel you choose, The South Bend DXD Flywheel is fairly quiet compared to other really light ones.

^Completely agree

But i'm pretty sceptical of most lightweight flywheels claiming to completely eliminate flywheel chatter. It be interesting to know how much that flywheel weighs tho

The best anti-chatter non OEM flywheel is prob the Nismo flywheel, but it's way overpriced. After that I'd prob go with the JWT

Disagree totally, JWT is pretty loud, Nismo is OK but is also heavier like the South Bend, South Bend is the quietest of the bunch, I have installed them all multiple times. Hell, even with a stock flywheel you can hear the trans rattle at idle with the clutch out.

The rattle noise is also related to mileage and age of the trans, After they get some miles on them and loosen up they rattle worse.

Any flywheel other than stock will sometimes make trans noise esp in neutral with the clutch out, I hate calling it chatter because that is a incorrect term for the trans gear rattle the one piece flywheels cause.
Chatter or "clutch judder" is caused by aggressive clutch materials causing loading and un-loading of the drivetrain as the clutch tries to grab.

The South Bend is the quietest and is around 25lbs now VS the earlier models that were 28lbs.

South Bend made their flywheels heavier for this reason, Helps reduce the noise in the trans gears and as an affordable replacement with a performance edge over the expensive stock DMF.

wow, I never new south bend was that heavy. that's closer to stock than the Nismo, which I think is about 24lbs

My stage 4 competition clutch set up had an ultra light flywheel around 8lbs....imagine the rattle of that
