Engine / Transmission & Diff Oil Question...
Hello all...
I'm new to the G35driver forums and just recently purchased my 03 G35 6mt. I'm planning to change all fluids in the car and was wondering if I could get some pointers from the pro's on this board.
I've already searched through many older threads and have come to the conclusion that most people highly recommend the Amsoil Series 2000 75w90 for both the transmission and differential. My question is, how much would you need to fill both completely? Also, once the fluids are changed what does the recommended service interval become?
Also, as far as engine oil goes... what brand and weight do most recommend for an exceptional synthetic?
Thanks very much, I would very much appreciate any thoughts and suggestions!

Thanks very much for the info!
Does anyone have any recommendations for the engine oil? I've done more looking and it appears that Amsoil makes the best synthetics period, but does anyone have any thoughts on it, or is there any other make people prefer? What weight is used? (I don't have the car in hand yet, so I can't look up the info).

I use Castrol Syntec 5W30 in the engine and like it, but there are many good ones out there.
Keeping fresh oils in the tranny and diff also help reduce friction losses/heat too, for a little added performance and peace of mind.
Cheap insurance.

From what I've read and heard the best long lasting synthetic oil and the most expensive is Amsoil.

Mobil One Synthetic is very popular as well and works with good results according to many Blackstone oil analysis results posted here.
If you do your oil changes frequently like every 3,000 miles I think just regular dino oil or half syn is good enough.
