Transmission Dilema

So my trans has 101k miles on it, im pretty sure that it has a synchro issue. I am hearing a howling noise between 2000-3500 RPM, which led me to believe that the TOB was bad so I replaced it along with whole clutch set up. However the noise is still there and its making me think that the interanal bearings n gears are bad, it also grinds going into 2nd and 3rd.

My question is Will it be worth it to pay to get it rebuilt, or to just fork out the damn near 2k for a new CD009? Ive been trying to find one that is cheaper than that but no such luck... can anyone help me out with this?

This problem is starting to drive me crazy. Any help will be greatly appreciated
