i went with the $30 sensor also, i searched and can't find any info on the difference between the cheaper one and more expensive one. also most parts stores will have a cheap one and an expensive one.

I haven't put it all back together cause I'm waiting for Infiniti to send me the harness and the manifold gasket. Should be up and running tomorrow though hopefully this solves the problem and I get my power back

cool, i just put my new harness on last night. test drive this morning and no codes, hopefully it lasts. i noticed in the picture your sensor was turned a different direction than mine. i wonder if that matters.

i'm very happy how easy this car has been to work on compaired to other cars i've had. i decided to swap in some new copper plugs too since i was under there and thermal wrapped my injen cai to help with heat soak.

My knock sensor has never been replaced so that's the way they put mine from factory. So I put it the same way. And yea it really wasn't that hard at all to do. It just took me a little while because I wanted it to come out perfect

I think i'm having the same issue with my '06 G 5AT. No power, accelerates pretty weak and drives my rpms high. No engine light and haven't checked for codes (making a trip in a few to auto zone to check for any).

Think this may be the same issue with mine?

Where did you get your knock sensor from and what part # was it?

I got mine from auto zone they have a $30 one and a $140 one they just matched up the number off my knock sensor and it matched up with the 30 dollar one. The harness I had to get from Infiniti it cost me 107. I think my code was p0327 if u get that you already k ow whAt it is.

That is good news.

Well I wasn't getting a code at all. Talked to my buddy about it and he had the same issue with his car. Loss of power, acceleration with high rpms and no cel/mil codes. He replaced his camshaft position sensors and the issue went away; but only after he got parts from the dealership because the autozone parts he got were bad on multiple occasions.
