A/T early downshifting?

So I had a 2008 G37 coupe for a while and now I have a 2009 G37x coupe with 80k miles. I noticed with this car that it downshifts a lot earlier where you can feel the car/engine slowing down because of the downshift? Any thoughts about this?

From what I hear is the cars have adaptive gear switching based on your Throttle response and driving style. So the re-program it I think you need to be manually doing it yourself on the tiptronic for a while, I think it re-programs that. I also think I heard that if you un plug your battery for a 10 minutes or something It may reset it. But I would do some research on it.
