06 Auto Coupe Grinding
06 Auto Coupe Grinding
Hi,
I am wondering what may be the reason my 06 G35 with the automatic tranny is making a grinding sound before it shifts out of 1st gear.
I take it out of park, put into drive, and slowly launch the car until the car hits about 2k rpm, than the gear shifts to 2nd. But right before 2k rpm i hear a grinding sound (like a manual car makes when the clutch wasnt depressed and was trying to be shifted.) But its still smooth, the car doesn't lurch or stutter, or anything at all, just a sound.
I just bought the car from a Certified Nissan Dealer.

I found out the cause to It in the manual,
Self-test feature
The anti-lock brake system consists of
electronic sensors, electric pumps, and hydraulic
solenoids controlled by a computer.
The computer has a built-in diagnostic feature
that tests the system each time you
start the engine and move the vehicle at a
low speed in forward or reverse. When the
self-test occurs, you may hear a clunk
noise and/or feel a pulsation in the brake
pedal. This is normal and is not an indication
of any malfunction. If the computer
senses any malfunction, it switches the
anti-lock brake system OFF and turns on
the ABS warning light in the instrument
panel. The brake system will then behave
normally, but without anti-lock assistance.
If the light comes on during the self check,
or while you are driving, you should take
your vehicle to an INFINITI dealer for repair
at your earliest convenience.
