Upgrade TQ Converter? Anyone?

Ok Guys,

I'm looking into a upgrded TQ converter to add some more acceleration from a stop. Question is has anyone on here upgraded theres? I know Coop on My37, an ZEliminator on 370Z, , Have done this and run LOW 11's( Coop) and 12.29 ( Z) on it, Just looking to see if anyone else has run one and their impressions.

I don't have a 37, but I have one in my 35. I've had my modified stock converter for over 4yrs with no issues.

I had mine modified by Edge Racing ask for Andre if you call also get a transgo shift kit if they make them for the 37.

I've pulled 1.8 60fts on street tires check out some my youtube vids denchan36.

Shouldn't be with a SC try different launch rpms.

Start from barely off idle around 1k and work your way up.

Need to find your car sweet spot for launching with the least wheel spin.

Have any vids of your car?

I have had a handful of rolling runs(20 MPH), And the car rips off, from a dig its a dog. :/

I know Coop and few other had had 1.6-, 1.8 60 FT times with a upgraded converter.

Are those guys pulling 1.6 on street tires I doubt it. Try a set of slicks, drag radials or wider tires all I heard was spin in that vid.

Your tires can't handle your TQ. Try not to jam on the gas try to roll into it (meaning gradual pressure).

Try it in a parking lot and compare.

IF your on the brake the TB only opens 10%, Nissan has brake override which is why you feel your car suck from a stop.

^ the TB opening is a table you can change on osiris I do not know if it helps when you are on the brake and gas. Though as soon as you let go of the gas IIRC it opens much more than stock.

Is there a benefit for NA cars by doing this or is it best suited for blown applications?

Benefits everone, Will open you TB soon and more,. My old car the TB would start closing at 6000 RPMs all the way to redline, 7200. Asuming we are talking about the TB table if we are talking about the TQ converter, Same answer , there is a guy over on 370Z.com run like 12.2 NA. Gears and upgraded TQ,

Just so everyone's clear the throttle not opening all the way all the time and only opening 10% or so when you're on the brakes are two completely different things.
