Transmission bounce
Greetings all,
Newbee here posting for the first time. I've hit the search engine here to the best of my abilities. If the answer is here and I missed it it's probably due to a lack of technical terms on my behalf. If that's the case, sorry to bother you all.
With that said, here's my issue - question. I have an 06 G35 auto w 60k miles. At low speeds and low rpms my transmission starts to bounce like it wants to come off the car e.g. cruising 40 mph at around 1500ish rpm and you head up a slight incline and the rpms drag. If it doesn't downshift, randomly here is where my problem shows up. To get it to stop you can either let off the gas or mash it. If you hammer the car this issue never comes up (I know, there's the answer) and it shifts well . No noises or vibrations to report other than this random bouncing issue.*When it starts you can see the damn gearshift*bouncing*in the*console... crazy and becoming more frequent.*
I do know for certain that my rubber - oil filled bushing in the rear cross member has split (like so many others I've found here), but I'm told that this doesn't fit this issue. I don't know the part number, but according to what I've found here Infiniti doesn't sell that bushing, only the entire member for $700 ish..
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I'm not a wrench so it's garage bound regardless, I'd just like a info before getting dug out.*
Thanks for all of your time.
Seems the firewall at work blocked my post, so I'm going*mobile. I'm hoping this doesn't post twice.

I believe there is a tsb on this issue or a recall or something..
I know what issue you speak of.
It has to do something with the transmission (valvebody) not being able to unlock and go into a lower gear.
I have the tsb on my computer at work but thats all I know of now.

Awesome. Yeah I recently upgraded my VB. (transgo) and the issue has yet to pop up again. Although my sisters g35 (not upgraded) still has the problem from time to time.
After 15 minutes of mad doggen the dealership they "found" an extended tranny program! I'm getting repaired on Wednesday. This deal expires at the end of July or 70 k miles. The quote from Infiniti was $1600.00
Great timing ..
Big thanks again for the info!
As expected my after market warranty rejected the claim. It actually lists valve body on the brochure but it has electricity flowing to it
