Dears I have replaced my G35 coupe 2003 6MT clutch two times in 3000 miles. I believe this is a very short period to change it twice.

The ones I am buying are stock ones and in a very short period they become slippery.

I need your advice in this, as I require a long lasting clutch.

please tell the most suitable brand and if the Flywheel needs to be changed as well.

3000 miles is ridiculous. Either it was installed wrong or you are a HORRIBLE driver.

do you have any mods done to the car or is it stock?

 

Aside from the modification question...

1) when you are moving the car from a stop, do you give it a lot of gas (aka more than 1.5k-2k rpm) before releasing the clutch?

2) or, when you get out of the car after driving, is there a burning smell? (aka clutch burning)

if the answer to these is yes, then you need to practice proper manual driving. if no, then you should question the quality of the clutches that were installed. for reference, i have over 30k mi on a stock clutch and it still works great.

 

haha Seymore ..thx for suggesting that I might be a horrible driver, but believe me I respect my car and treat it well. it is all stock no Mods are done to it, just replaced the catalysers with pipes (I believe it is irrelvant) and the mechanic is a guy with experience..

Regarding the driving skills dvs_g; I have been driving manual cars for more than 16 years, and it is the first car I have faced with such problems.. in other words I dont give it alot of gas before releasing the clutch when I am moving the car from a stop (< 1.0k rpm).

But in traffic jams the clutch makes smells, and sometimes after a long journey to mountains...ups and downs it also makes clutch smells.


It is worth mentining that I have replaced my gear because it was making strong noises on shifting all the shifts, but after installing the new gear I have put a new stock clutch. And currently this new clutch is being a little slippery on the 1st and on the 2nd. (i.e. rpm and acceleration are not being proportional while pressing gas, it just does not feel right).
