I have searched this before but to no avail

I have a 06 g35 coupe 6mt with 48k miles on it. Occasionally, my clutch pedal will not rise back to its original position on its own. I have to slip my foot under it to pull it back up. At first, I though it was dirty fluid so I popped the hood and sucked out the current dirty fluid and replaced it with new brake fluid. I then pumped the clutch pedal 20 times or so to cycle it through. I repeated this procedure about 10-15 times. I did all of this with the car turned off. I though this resolved the problem however it still occurs. it happens maybe 1 out of 10 times I drive the car. Any ideas or troubleshooting suggestions?

Slave or dirty master and needs a rebuild or replace. Make sure you have bleed all the air out of the lines.

You have a clutch cylinder, inside is a washer/plunger that pushes the fluid when that begins to wear out the clutch pedal won't come all the way up. Eventually it will fall to the floor and have to be returned to position by hand. Go to your Nissan dealership and have them check it out, the whole unit needs to be replaced. Infiniti will charge you 30% more for the same job! I had to replace two of them on my last Z which reacted exactly like you posted....Gary

When you say eventually, how long does that mean? And, how much did it cost you to have it replaced?

Eventually depends on how often you drive and also your driving habits. There's no standard wear timeline on parts like those. Replacement can also vary depending on dealership but wait for Gary to respond as I haven't replaced this part before and I currently have an A/T so....
