Lag + slamming into gear = no fun and probably cause vdc to kick in and the engine to bog.
It won't cause VDC to kick in or bog down at all

Osiris has the ability to adjust the pressure to some degree. This can possibly help - although I can't be certain. I have the early 2003 ecu which can't use Osiris

Mine is a 2003 model but it's a 350gt from Japan...I assume they use the same ecu? Is there a way to check if it will work with osiris?

Well after having the transgo for about three weeks now I have to say im not impressed. In manual mode the 2>3 shift is very clunky and if i floor the car in drive regardless of what speed im going the down shift is very aggressive as stated above "like someone rear-ended you".

On several occasions in D at WOT the transmission would upshift way before redline (at ~5k rpm) and the change was not crisp at all...I would say even worse than the stock transmission.

I have done the ECU reset via the pedals and this didnt change a thing. I am going to leave the battery disconnected to see if that makes a difference.

I should note that my shifts do not seem to be as fast as youtube video's of G35's that have the transgo. Perhaps its just my transmission???

Anyway ill report back in a few days once I have left the battery disconnected. Perhaps a tune will help?

Be careful leaving the battery disconnected for too long, the ECU will forget what's is supposed to do. All you need is 30 minutes, leaving it disconnected over night you'll have idle issues...Gary

Its been a few days now since i reset the ECU. It did not fix the issues in my last post.

Im now regretting doing this upgrade and my understanding is there is now way to reverse it. I will be getting a tune eventually so hopefully that will resolve my issue.

Sorry to here about this man. Once you get a tune (even if it's a year from now) make sure to update the thread to let us know.

Yeh its a real pain and I can see myself having issues when it comes time to sell the car. Perhaps ill have to keep an eye out for a VB so I can put it back to stock at a later date.

Something I have noticed happening now is if im doing approx 60-70km/h (40-45mp/h?) and i floor it in D the transmission will downshift, then upshift, then downshift again. Before the VB upgrade it would always do into 2nd.

Anyways I have been talking to some guys who have had their skylines VB modified and they seem to all have the opinion that what im experiencing is normal...mostly due to the transmission controller.

I have called up a tuning place and they are unable to tune the TCU so im SOL!

Well the shop i went to have done plenty of the shift kits before which is why i took my car there. I cant really justify the 600-700 dollars to pull it apart just to check.

I did find out the used Dextron 3 instead of Matic J/S..not too happy about that.

These trannys can be very finicky, ALWAYS use only the OEM Nissan Matic fluid.. I would change that out immediately. Could fix your problem.

Well its been a few weeks since having the tranny flushed and it seems to be somewhat better. Generally shifts are smoother now but the huge jolt when in 5th in D still exists but apparently thats normal.

I still have an extremely hard shift / Jolt from 2>3 but it seems to become less severe when the tranny warms up (not always tho). On that note how long would it take for the tranny to reach temperature on an average day? Also would this damage the tranny or other parts? The only way I can describe it is like the car all of a sudden braked for an instant accompanied with a loud bang.

Finally when im in D and WOT the tranny occasionally gets confused and downshifts, upshifts, downshifts several times which is VERY annoying but I guess thats just how it is.

Depends on what you mean by hard. Mine only shifts "hard" while WOT from 1-2 & 2-3, and there is no klunking sound. The downshifts are firmer than stock but I wouldn't say they're hard. I'm assuming your kit wasn't properly installed.

Sorry I forgot to mention that the hard 2>3 shift is only in manual mode, in D it's fine.

Every other gear change in manual mode is nice and crisp. Downshift I occasionally get a clunk but it's not too bad.
