03. G35 sedan auto grinding?

So ive never heard this, i do slide the car around occasionally and have never heard it.

Today in the snow, anytime she would slip i'd hear this grinding type noise, not very loud but noticable, from the front, sounded like maybe the driver front?

Driving normal nothing, anytime she would slip i can hear it.

Sitting still spinning the tires i dont hear it, let off the break and spin the tires and i can??? Kinda baffled here.

Totally normal. It's the VDC kicking in. It's exactly as you described it; sort of a grinding noise emanating from behind the dash.

To confirm this, you could try turning off the VDC and see if the noise still there. Just let you know even if the VDC is disabled the traction control remains on. So playing in the snow does wear your breaks.
