Roaring noise?! Wtf

I've done some searches but can't seem to find anyone having a problem related to mine... 04 6mt. When I drive there is a LOUD roaring noise that's seems to come from the rear end that gets LOUDER the faster I go... I took it to my mechanic, and he told me I need new front wheel bearings, but I do t think that's what's causing it. It almost sounds like a deep grinding mixed with a roar. They said they couldn't tell if the rear end needed wheel bearings or not, the noise only happens when the weight of the car is on the wheels. So where should I start? Pull read diff cover and check fluid and gears to make sure everything is straight? Wheel bearings?
Thanks in advance for your help guys!!

That's what I thought too... But upon spinning the wheels there is ZERO noise and no movement in the wheel...

Tires have feathering and camber wear? My **** Nankang tires had bad feathering which ultimately led to their death and loud noise.

Grinding mixed with the roar wouldn't be camber (tire) wear, I vote for wheel bearing! Don't forget, noise travels so it could be coming from the front...which is easy to check!
