HELP! Manual Transmission Swap

HEY EVERYONE! HELP ME!

I am VERY interested in swapping out my g35 coupe 5AT's transmission into a 6AT Transmission.
Please help, WHAT DO I NEED!?
From what I know, or at least what I think i know, is that I need:
Transmission
Transfer Case
Clutch
Flywheel
Pedal

WHAT ELSE! also, please correct me if i am wrong! I WANT TO DO THIS SO BAD! Also, how much do you think all this will cost and how much do you think i can sell the auto transmission for?

PLEASE HELP!

THANKS!!

Sushmaster,
You will also need to pipe in the hydraulic system for the clutch. new flywheel, your car probably has a flexplate. Also you might have to swap out the trans support bar and mount, and maybe a new driveshaft. I would factor the costs of all parts and labor vs the cost of trading your car for a manual G35. Also with a manual, depending on what year you get, think of the limited slip rearend, the Brembos, warranty, etc.

Just my $.02!

thx everyone so far...haha and yeah that is true it is good to have a 6speed so you dont have to hold the girls hand haha...and yea i have a 2004 and it came with the LSD and i am really interested in doing this...i have thought about trading for a 6MT but money will be lost on that and i bought my car brand new so i know how it has been cared for...also, i would like to know how much i can sell the AT tranny for, because that would greatly lower the budget i would be on...

MORE HELP PLEASE!
THANKS!

Just trade it in. It'll probably cost you less money and certainly less headaches than a swap.

I'd imagine that you'd need to swap the ECU and god only knows about wiring harnesses.

Yea I'm pretty sure that the money lost on trading it in would be very close to if not less then what it would cost to swap the tranny...Not to mention the resale value of your car will greatly depreciate thanks to the swap...Personally I wouldn't want to buy a car that had a tranny swap...Theres just to many x factors that could lead to trouble in the future...

Agreed. Better yet, sell it yourself privately and get the max amount you can. Then go get a brand new or slightly used 6spd. Completely cost ineffective to do a tranny swap unless you can get all the parts you need for dirt cheap.
