Sure, I will look into the IAT wiring today. The flash should be for the manual transmission car.

Another thing I noticed today was that the timing advance shown by torque app ranged between -2 deg to 76 deg. Does that sound right?

6th gear at low rpm caused quite a bit of rattling sound. At RPM over 3-4k there wasn't any ratting sound.

Whoa... That seems really high for timing advance, mine peaks at about +40° I think.

I checked the timing advance again- it varies from 15 to 43 deg.

My MAF wiring is good so I replaced the MAF and the p0113 code is gone. Now I have a random misfire code and the car is still lean on one side and rich on the other.

I plan to change the passenger side fuel pressure regulator / damper next.

Did you re-do the compression test?

Next option would be a leak down test to verify the low compression and see where the compression is leaking out.

This turned out to be an electrical issue. We hired a specialist to look at the wiring and he seems to have figured it out. I really appreciate all your help in diagnosing the issue. The car now runs excellent!

What exactly was the electrical issue? I'm seeing a very similar issue on my '07 G35 sedan. Bank 2 shows rich, bank 1 shows normal.

Always treat bank1 and bank2 and basically two different engines. The computer draws a hard line between the two, they have their own separate and complete systems.

Start with the spark plugs, that will tell you 90% of what's going on, does each plug look LITERALLY IDENTICAL?? Or does one plug look a little different? If it's different it could be just airflow and needing new plugs, could be a stuck or clogged injector, could be many things.

If all the plugs on one bank look LITERALLY IDENTICAL, then compare them to the other bank, if they look a different color it could be an upstream O2 sensor getting lazy and sending the wrong fuel calculation to the ECM, etc.

Hey what's up I'm going through this issue at the moment. What did it end up being? Bad wiring somewhere? Or?

Had some time to look at my car. I had to stop panicking and take a step back. A quick look around had shown the fuel injector harness was pretty bad looking around were the harness terminates to the connector. This was causing two cylinder (3 & 5) to not fire at all. So check wiring for the fuel injector and for spark.

Do you know what exactly the electrical issue was?

I’ve been having similar problems for a couple years now. Had my engine replaced and the problem’s returned...no one seems to be able to pinpoint the upstream cause.

thanks in advance
