Removing welded diff

III have an 05 6mt. I found a 4.08 differential but it has a welded diff. I don't drift and have no need for it. If I buy it, can I just install my VLSD and remove the welded one?

Yep, just buy a factory VLSD unit and bolt it in.

Basically by welding the differential it just means you can't disassemble the ring and pinion gear anymore. You can still remove your drive axles.
